This feature allows users to quickly and easily gift an item by email right from the checkout page of their shopping cart. We understand that customers are almost always in a hurry, so we developed this feature with simplicity in mind. With just a few clicks, you can send a gift directly to someone's email address without having to worry about shipping or delivery!
One of the key advantages of building your blockchain application on top of our technology is the ability to leverage the innovative functionalities that we’ve already built. This new gift-by-email feature is another clear example of cutting edge functionality ready built for our customers.
Here's how the gift-by-email feature works:
- At checkout the user simply clicks a checkbox that says "this item is a gift".
- The cart then asks them to enter the email address of the recipient and a short message.
- The customer then finishes paying either in $DeSo or fiat.
- The recipient receives an email from the application letting them know that their friend has sent them a gift (with a link to accept it).
- The friend then just has to click the link and "unwrap" his or her gift.
- If the friend already has an account on the system, then the gift is automatically sent to their profile.
- If the friend doesn't have an account, they are prompted to enter their data and then the gift is delivered.
